The first hard day was today. We said goodbye to Eric at the Evansville
airport. I am happy to say that say that
Gavin handled it very well! There was a
playground inside the tiny airport which helped, and he hardly looked up as
Eric walked away. He just said, ‘Daddy’s
going home to work.’ Eric and I on the
other hand (the two started out in a long distance relationship and are used to
long goodbyes at the airport) shed a few tears today.
Gavin and I went out in search of a happy place after all
the goodbyes were over and ended up at Chuck E Cheese’s!! Gavin loved putting tokens in the games and
collecting the tickets! He even gained
up enough courage to ride on some of the little moving vehicles…a big
accomplishment for our cautious little guy. J He was excited to get a special souvenir
Chuck E Cheese cup full of ice water of course!
We got more snow tonight!!!
We had a beautiful day with sun and warm temperatures in the 30’s but
that all left with Eric and the snow has returned. I’d say we've gotten another few inches or
feet by now!!! Needless to say, snow is
not my favorite thing, but Gavin seems to have some Maine blood in him and
keeps begging to walk in the snow. He’s
pretty excited about it all!
Tomorrow we move into “The Clown’s House” as Gavin has now
named it! He is super excited for all of
the toys there. J Thanks again for all the love and support out
there!!
Loved the backpack photo of Gavin and the snow photo! Praying that you have a good day tomorrow. Thinking of you. Eileen
