Gavin and I got an unexpected vacation today. The Clown House has been wiped out by the
stomach fluL. If Gavin gets a stomach bug, he gets severely
dehydrated in a matter of hours, and he ends up in the hospital for a week
hooked up to an IV recovering. I am not
willing to take the risk that he comes down with this nasty bug. So, Eric got us a nice couple of nights away
at a hotel here in Evansville! We
skipped our last two therapy sessions of the day to get our stuff together and
distance ourselves from the illness. I
am happy to say that I was able to feed Gavin out in public for both lunch and
dinner!!! We stopped at Panera where
Gavin enjoyed a little bit of a chocolate cupcakeJ. Then, we had a nice dinner at Logan’s
Roadhouse where I enjoyed a wonderful glass of wineJ. We are headed to Indianapolis for the weekend
to meet Eric, so that should give plenty of time for the Clown House to recover
from the bug. They have called in the
infectious disease department from the hospital to go through the entire house
and thoroughly clean everything with bleach.
Until then, we are enjoying living out in the real world again. I am happy to say that so far, so good…we are
still flu free for now!
